Big Love for the First Annual WITness Success Conference!

In mid-August as the Salesforce community was convening in the Windy City for Midwest Dreamin’, we here at Silverline were also getting geared up to attend the first annual WITness Success conference in the ‘burbs of Itasca. Billed as “THE DEFINITIVE EVENT FOR SALESFORCE WOMEN IN TECH” we were so excited to have the opportunity to sponsor the event – and to get inspired by the amazing women in this Salesforce ecosystem.

Here at Silverline, we believe that it’s so important to support equality, diversity, and inclusion. These values make us all better humans and better Salesforce community allies. So when we first heard about this conference, we jumped at the chance to show that support in a small way. We’ll be sharing a few of our thoughts in a bit longer-form format soon, but some of the highlights of the conference included the first night keynote from the allies dinner with Peter Coffee, Cheryl Porro’s moving keynote the next day, and the great Life Model Canvas framework that Ayori Salassie shared.

All of us at Silverline were moved by the documentary screening of Nora Poggi’s film “She Started It” – and one of the most overwhelming and real moments of the conference came at the end during the “Advice from the Trenches” panel with Trailhead’s editory-in-chief Chris Duarte, Annie Shek-Mason, and Salesforce Developer Evangelist Mary Scotton. Each of these sessions (and all the others we attended) started such productive dialogue about the real issues that women in tech face, and how we all can be more empathetic and sensitive and proactive about turning this community into one that will benefit all future generations.

The sincerest thank you to all the amazing conference organizers and volunteers. We can’t wait to do it again next year in Denver. In the meantime, check out a few of our photos from the event!
