NYC Developer User Group Meet-Up!

By 05.03.11
Reading time: 3 minutes

Last week, we were thrilled to have the NYC Developer User Group come to our NoHo office for a meet-and-greet and awesome presentation from the developer community evangelists at Salesforce! 30+ developers came for the evening’s festivities and the agenda definitely did not disappoint.

Dave Carroll, Steve Bobrowski, and Nick Tran were on hand to meet with the group, but the star of the show was Steve’s live presentation about app development with Ruby on Rails and Heroku. Throughout the course of the meet-up, he built and deployed a mobile browser-based app for music streaming! It was very cool to see the technology in action and begin to think about all its potential uses for Salesforce-powered apps.

If you’re looking for more resources on how to learn Ruby for Salesforce, Alex Sutherland tipped us to the Google Group he runs, so check it out here! Check out a few pictures from the event below and huge thanks to everyone who came out!
