Silverline came together to construct customized high-end, remote controlled (RC) racecars which were donated to NYU Langone Medical Center. Silverline employees worked with Impact 4 Good, a company that focuses on team building programs that give back to communities. The activity began with a facilitator explaining that teams must compete in an interactive, tablet-based trivia challenge to earn the materials needed to make remote control cars for children.

Teams answered questions on their tablets, earning points for each correct answer and more points for being the first team to answer the question correctly. Then, based on performance in the trivia challenge, teams selected items to customize their ride one item at a time. Hood scoops, grill guards, mufflers, spoilers, sidebars, fancy rims, and tires are only some of the many options available.

The Silverline team had a fantastic time working together to build cars for the children at NYU Langone. The dedicated staff at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital of New York at NYU Langone understand that illnesses and medical procedures have the potential to cause anxiety and fear in children. To ease these feelings and help families prepare for and cope with a surgery or hospital stay, they offer child life services, music therapy, art therapy, and therapeutic recreation in part through the Sala Institute for Child and Family Centered Care.

Silverline employees came together through our Silverline Cares initiative with our dedication to Pledge 1%. Pledge 1% is a corporate philanthropy movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business. Pledge 1% encourages and challenges individuals and companies to pledge 1% of equity, product, and employee time for their communities. Take the pledge today.
