Use CalendarAnything to Manage your Volunteer Opportunities

By Jill Harrison 03.29.11

After hearing lots of great feedback about all the ways that our customers are using CalendarAnything, we’re excited to share some of them here on the blog. Today’s sample calendar is a shout-out to all the hard work that the Salesforce Foundation puts into helping companies establish their own volunteer programs. For more information on how you can implement a volunteer program at your company, check out their philanthropic model!

But once you’ve decided to implement a volunteer program, how do you manage it? How do your colleagues know what opportunities are coming up? How do they sign up to participate?

If you’re already using the free Volunteerforce app, you know how easy it is to create volunteer activities and manage your volunteer organizations. (If not, go download it now!)

CalendarAnything takes it to the next level and makes it easy to set up volunteer activity calendars to let people know what’s coming up and which activities still need to be filled. By using easily-customizable hovers, you can see what the event details are, each activity’s capacity, and how many people must still be recruited to fill the need.
