Job Title: VP of Sales Effectiveness
Start Date:
 May 2015

What is a fun fact or something interesting about yourself?

I ice skated with Disney on Ice when I was little!

What is your position at Silverline?

I’m VP of Sales Effectiveness. I would describe it by saying it’s my team’s job to support the industry and sales team. We do that through a lot of collaboration with leadership, subject matter experts, and many teams here at Silverline. We have to make sure people have the right training and enablement from the time they join Silverline through our on-boarding program and then ongoing throughout their careers here. Essentially, it’s helping the sales team be successful in their job at Silverline.

What does your average day look like?

Recently my role shifted so I work from home most of the time; I used to be onsite with prospects and clients on a weekly basis. Now I appreciate the opportunity to establish a schedule: I am usually working by 7/7:30 and meetings start around 9. My (very active) dog makes sure I take at least a few walking breaks, even when it is snowing or raining, to get outside and get some exercise. While my work is never the same, it always includes spending time thinking about how to update processes, systems, and training or directly helping people and teams meet their goals and objectives. For example, if the healthcare team has a new go-to-market plan, then my team works with our internal partners to make sure we have the right sales materials, marketing information, talk tracks, and anything that could come up when engaging with clients.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?

I found out because Nicola from the Talent Acquisition team reached out to me about this position!

What motivates you at work?

I am motivated by the people I am able to collaborate with every day. We have such a diverse set of talented team members; I always look forward to hearing their ideas and partnering with them to see them come to fruition.

What are some interesting challenges you face?

Being in a team environment is a blessing and a curse. We have so many ideas and talented people, it is a puzzle to wrangle everyone. It is incredibly satisfying when everything comes together.

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?

I think it’s a never-ending list, there are so many super smart people here. I learn new things every day. I never thought I would know so much about the financial services and healthcare industries. Also, figuring out how to work in an extremely collaborative and remote environment is a learning experience.

What do you think makes Silverline successful?

It is 100% the people and how we are empowered to do what is right on behalf of our clients and team members, which is the tone set by Rich and Gireesh. Also, our commitment to Salesforce, Financial Services, and Healthcare drives us in the right direction. There is no question about what we are doing and where we are going.

What is your favorite perk?

Silverline offers remote employees the opportunity to travel to the New York office for our All Hands, Holiday party, and to the Silverline Summit. It’s so energizing to connect in person with team members and participate in Silverline Cares events together. They create great memories, encourage teamwork, and help great causes. I definitely do not take that for granted.

What is your favorite memory from working at Silverline?

We used to have a robot in the headquarters office and the robot would come into the room.  We would connect it to the video conference and the remote person would have their face on the screen. The robot would even follow you around. It was hilarious and very endearing. It’s somewhere in the office now but I don’t think it’s in practice anymore.

What do you hope for your future at Silverline?

I’m able to provide value to the Silverline team and clients, I know it’s boring to say that but it’s so true!

What advice would you give someone considering a job at Silverline?

I would say to be yourself! One of the big things when you are remote is that you have to be proactive and reach out. You must be willing to learn and be adaptable.
