A Day in the Life

What is your position at Silverline and what do you do?

I’m the Marketing Campaign Manager at Silverline. My job is about telling the Silverline story across multiple channels. Essentially, I’m an evangelist.

What does your average day look like?

Right now things are a little crazy with 2019 planning. Mostly I’m in meetings, talking with other departments about priorities, offerings, and new stories to tell. Then I take that information and collaborate with the Marketing Campaign Associate and the Business Development Manager to turn that information into content and campaigns. Lots of planning, writing, and metrics always churning around.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?

Having worked in the Salesforce ecosystem previously, Silverline was a name that frequently came up in conversations. A former colleague from a previous job had recently joined Silverline, and let me know about an open position on the Marketing team.

What motivates you at work?

Every day I think about the really cool future that Silverline is trying to build. Not only from a Salesforce ecosystem perspective where Silverline is helping healthcare and financial services companies run their businesses better, but also from a cultural perspective.  Silverline is working toward a future where being a successful business doesn’t have to mean being a homogenous monolith powered by overworked and underappreciated employees. Silverline knows that companies need to do better.

What do you like most about your work?

The company as a whole is very supportive of the entrepreneurial spirit. If I have an idea or a campaign I want to try, I’m always encouraged to go ahead and make it happen. Even if it falls flat, there’s always something to be learned that can benefit the next idea or project.

What are some challenges you face?

Having the time to do everything I want and need to do. There just aren’t enough hours in the day!

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?

I’ve learned a lot about business development and sales—marketing can’t function at full steam without alignment with these activities.

What do you think makes Silverline a successful company?

Being Salesforce experts in the Salesforce ecosystem doesn’t hurt, but I think there is also a lot to be said for how Silverline prioritizes a transparent, welcoming culture that truly recognizes that “we do better together.”

What is your favorite perk?

When I come to the office, the nitro cold brew coffee. In general, every perk has something to love—I appreciate the work the organization puts in to find us excellent health coverage, the unlimited PTO is great, and working from home is a dream.

What is your favorite memory?

The last night of Dreamforce this year was fabulous—the Marketing team had pulled off another amazing week in San Francisco, and we were able to breathe a collective sigh of relief and revel in our success.

What do you hope for your future at Silverline?

I just want to keep telling our story and spreading the good word about Salesforce far and wide

Just be yourself and be open about what you want to achieve.
