What is a fun fact or something interesting about yourself?A Day in the Life: Danielle Laffey

I absolutely love to travel. After college, I backpacked around Europe by myself for 12 days. I visited Italy, Amsterdam, and Prague. Prague is my favorite European city. I recently visited Alaska, which was awesome! The photo of me to the right in broad daylight was taken at 1:30 a.m., the days were 22 hours long.

What is your position at Silverline?

I was just recently promoted about a month or so ago, but my role is to enable and educate solution teams about best practice within the insurance vertical.

What does your average day look like?

My average day is filled with lots of meetings and coffee.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?

I had a friend/ex-coworker who came to work at Silverline and recruited me over.

What motivates you at work?

I really like being around smart people. I feel as though being at Silverline, surrounded by teams of intelligent individuals, challenges me to be a better person. I also love to see customer success.

What are some interesting challenges you face?

Communication in a world that is very technology focused. Things get more readily lost in translation.

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?

It’s an endless waterfall of things. I’ve learned about new products and solutions within Salesforce. I’ve acquired many amazing additional leadership skills. I’ve learned that it’s OK to not be the smartest person in the room.

What do you think makes Silverline successful?

At the core of it, it’s people. People make the difference.

What is your favorite perk?

The fact that I get to work from wherever I want. I currently live in Florida, and can walk to the beach in five minutes with my dogs.

A Day in the Life: Danielle Laffey 1What is your favorite memory from working at Silverline?

My favorite memory took place at the summit last year. We got up really early in the morning one day and went ATV driving. I was terrified to actually drive, and initially got in the car with a coworker. However, she didn’t know how to drive and our car was broken, so I had to get into a new car with Brad Killam. He eventually convinced me to drive and I had an absolute blast.

What do you hope for your future at Silverline?

I hope that I continue to grow and learn at the same pace that I have been, which is pretty rapid.

What advice would you give someone considering a job at Silverline?

Take a leap of faith.
