Job Title: Business Analyst
Start Date: July 2018
Fun Fact:  I have double jointed elbows.

What is your position at Silverline and what do you do?

I’m a Business Analyst, I help with any client work and gather requirements from projects. I do a lot of configuring in the Salesforce Platform.

What does your average day look like?

I usually scavenge for kombucha in the fridge and my day then begins with a couple of stand-up meetings. I’m on two different projects, so I have a multitude of meetings for both of those. I also love to check my emails—it’s very therapeutic.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?

I had a co-op with a competitor of Silverline, and that is what introduced me to the Salesforce ecosystem. I knew after I graduated college that I wanted to do something in the Salesforce ecosystem. I applied to Silverline on LinkedIn because I saw the amazing Glassdoor reviews.

What motivates you at work?

My coworkers. I don’t want to let anyone down, I really look up to them. You have to work as a unit on these projects.

What do you like most about your work?

The best day ever is closing tickets and feeling accomplished on the project. Seeing your configuration work on Salesforce is so satisfying.

What are some challenges you face?

Not knowing how a client will react to projects—it is hard to know the right thing to build. Some requests can be vague or expectations can be out there and you don’t want to disappoint them. But in the end, we all work together to make a final product that shines.

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?

The methodology behind building solutions on the Salesforce platform and the transparency of the company.

What do you think makes Silverline a successful company?

The enthusiasm that people bring to their jobs, and the clear vision and goal everyone shares.

What is your favorite perk?

Either the wine cooler or the bagels on Fridays. The office decor is so cool—I guess you’d call it “rustic geek.”

What is your favorite memory?

My first week on the job was the summer All-Hands meeting in July. There was a happy hour at the Frying Pan in New York; it was so much fun meeting a bunch of people from the company and there was a sense of community.

What do you hope for your future at Silverline?

There are a lot of people I aspire to be like. I’m not sure exactly what I want to do yet because there are a lot of choices.

If you had a friend who was thinking about working for Silverline, what advice would you give them?

Know how to be an empathetic person in your interview, and be yourself.
