Job Title: Integration Specialist
Start Date: October 2020

What is a fun fact or something interesting about yourself?

I love to play piano. I’ve been playing since I was eight years old.

What is your position at Silverline?

I am an Integration Specialist. I previously worked in the Electric Utility industry as a MuleSoft Developer with some experience in Salesforce. I like working with data and making processes efficient.

What does your average day look like?

I typically start my day at 9 a.m. and jump into working on my integrations or using SQL to work with and analyze data. I don’t have too many phone calls or meetings throughout the day, so it’s nice to be able to focus on development and learning new things.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?

I was contacted by one of Silverline’s recruiters back in September. After meeting with my future manager and some co-workers, I found a strong interest in joining. Silverline came off as a great place to work and a place where you can learn many new things, and it really is!

What motivates you at work?

I appreciate being surrounded by people who are very experienced in their field and know exactly what they are talking about. I like having the ability to do things on my own and the flexibility with where you work, either at home or in the office, makes everything so much more convenient.

What are some interesting challenges you face?

Migrating hundreds of thousands of records of data can be challenging. You have to make sure that the data you’re working with makes sense, know how to analyze it. You also have to clean information that needs cleaning, make sure that it contains the right data to make your project successful and validate that everything is working and represented as intended.

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?

I’ve learned about CI/CD pipelines, creating Batch Processing APIs, and interacting with clients during presentations and demos.

What do you think makes Silverline successful?

The “Client Journey.” Understanding what clients go through, from before they even know what Silverline is, to going live with their projects is what gives us a cutting edge. I can see a lot of our clients love when we understand their needs, when we’re one step ahead, and know what their concerns are before they voice them. It’s all part of making them feel like “we got this.”

What is your favorite perk?

Flexibility is great at Silverline. Being able to work from anywhere is a plus and being able to take off when there’s downtime is nice.

What is your favorite memory from working at Silverline?

So far I would say the Virtual Holiday party of 2020. It was nice getting to meet people in breakout rooms and having laughs together.

What advice would you give someone considering a job at Silverline?

This is a great place to work as you interact with so many leaders in the industry of Healthcare and Finance. Everyone is very knowledgeable and willing to teach each other so that everyone can continue to grow. The perks are great too, and I’m happy to be a part of Silverline!
