Job Title: Technical Architect
Start Date: 2009
Fun Fact: I’m an extremely intense board gamer! I want to ski on all seven continents and have done five so far.
What does your average day look like?
I direct the technology team, lead the Silverline Academy, help resolve client issues that require technical expertise, and basically anything on Salesforce related to security or operations. I’m on the design review committee. I make sure clients are getting the right strategic advice they need for their software development and application lifecycle on Salesforce.
How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?
I knew Gireesh (Silverline’s amazing CEO) personally through a mutual friend. He asked if I wanted to learn Salesforce and that is how it all started.
What motivates you at work?
I love teaching and mentoring coworkers. Also, having something I built go live and being able to see how it makes people’s day-to-day jobs better.
What do you like most about your work?
Variety. I have been here forever and it has been so rewarding to see the company grow. On a day-to-day basis, I like to be able to solve problems and get things done.
What are some challenges you face?
Growing as a company creates its own challenges. There is a constant treadmill that you have to keep up with. I also think the more Salesforce grows the more pressure there is to be the expert in not only Salesforce but in technology as well. On a side note, there are not enough conference rooms in NYC office.
What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?
I have been working here for so long, so basically everything! I think one thing I have learned is the value of asking questions and waiting to solve problems. Sometimes I want to jump in and fix things immediately, but that is not what will get the best solution in the long run.
What do you think makes Silverline a successful company?
Our company culture! The leadership team here at Silverline is amazing and they are super focused on skill development. I also believe we hire people who love what they do. Lastly, our clients. They help us grow and continue to be successful.
What is your favorite perk?
Our remote and results-oriented culture. Getting the work done and doing the work for our clients, helps us stay laser focused.
What is your favorite memory?
Running the first Silverline Developer Academy!
What do you hope for your future at Silverline?
I hope to keep doing what I’m doing in a more impactful way across the company.
If you had a friend who was thinking about working for Silverline, what advice would you give them?
I would say be prepared to learn more than you ever thought possible in Salesforce. Also, take advantage of the mentor/buddy system and all the growth opportunities here.
