Job Title: Director, Business Development and Product Sales
Start Date:
July 2016

What is a fun fact or something interesting about yourself?

I live in Orlando and have never been to Disney World!

What is your position at Silverline?

Overall, my job is to support the company and ensure we reach our revenue/sales goal. I work with our marketing, sales, and industry teams to execute various campaigns on the Business Development side to create pipeline, and I work with our product sales and support team to deliver numbers.

What does your average day look like?

Since I manage two different teams at Silverline, every morning is different depending on meetings, but I always start each day by looking at our dashboards and making sure my two teams have everything they need to be successful. Throughout the day, I meet with stakeholders to discuss their campaigns and goals, and I work with my product sales team to support all of their initiatives.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?

I worked for a company to which Silverline initially outsourced their business development, fell in love with Silverline’s culture, and was eventually hired on directly.

What motivates you at work?

My team and the people that I work with on a daily basis. Everyone works so hard, and that motivates me to both do better and want to be better.

What are some interesting challenges you face?

My challenges depend greatly on the day because my role is so dynamic. Most of my challenges are related to the growth of Silverline and don’t necessarily keep me from doing my job. Instead, they inspire me to be more efficient and adaptable. They are good challenges.

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?

I’ve learned to mirror the people that you work with because everyone works and thinks in different ways.

What do you think makes Silverline successful?

The company’s success can 100% be attributed to the people that work here. Everyone is so passionate about the company, and people genuinely like and respect each other, which motivates them to work that much harder.

What is your favorite perk?

I love both the culture at Silverline and being able to work from home, which allows me to be productive but still have fun with coworkers via Slack

What is your favorite memory from working at Silverline?

My favorite memories are the times that Silverline has brought people together. During the annual summit in Santa Fe, the entire Growth Team got together for a dinner. Everyone shared speeches about what brought them to Silverline, and we talked about our experiences working here. The dinner was incredibly touching and emotional, and everyone was moved by the positivity.

A Day in the Life: Natasa Marinkovic 1What do you hope for your future at Silverline?

I hope I can create something at Silverline that really makes an impact on both the company and the people that I work with — most importantly, my team.

What advice would you give someone considering a job at Silverline?

Silverline is a great company — you don’t even need to think about whether you want to work here. Be prepared to take ownership and initiative because Silverline promotes an entrepreneurial mindset. The greatest skill you can have is knowing what you want to do, where you want to go, and how that will help the company.
