Job Title: Associate Business Analyst
Start Date: July 2018
Fun Fact: I’m double jointed!

What is your position at Silverline and what do you do?

I’m an Associate Business Analyst for the Navigator team. I graduated from the Silverline Academy in August, and I’m now transitioning into working with clients full time.

What does your average day look like?

I start my morning studying for the Salesforce Admin exam, I then look at my emails and to-do list for the day. After that, I start any client work and then move on to internal work.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?

I participated in Pep-up Tech, people empowering people through technology, and graduated from their program. I went to a Pep-up Tech/Silverline mixer and connected with people from Silverline. A few weeks later I got a call from Pep-Up Tech that Silverline was hiring for the academy and applied immediately.

What motivates you at work?

Being able to work with clients from the very beginning all the way through delivery. I love seeing people so excited to use Salesforce.

What do you like most about your work?

Everyone I work with genuinely likes to help, so there is a good support system. For example, one of my coworkers started a Salesforce Admin certification study group to help people at Silverline pass the Salesforce Admin exam.

What are some challenges you face?

I had to get comfortable with asking questions and letting people know that I sometimes need help with things.

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?

I have learned so much about consulting, project management, and the Salesforce Platform.

What do you think makes Silverline a successful company?

Silverline is successful because of the core values we have as a company, which are passed down from the top executives and lived in full every day.

What is your favorite perk?

All the free food in the kitchen and Bagel Fridays. Also, the option to work remotely is such a huge help in my life.

What is your favorite memory?

The day I came in for my interview I was so nervous. I couldn’t find the building and was stressing out. My future coworker, Kori, helped me get settled in even though she was attending the in-office yoga class. She was in her yoga outfit with no shoes on and it made me feel so much more comfortable.

What do you hope for your future at Silverline?

To help build the Navigator team. It’s still an emerging offering, and there are a lot of opportunities to grow.

If you had a friend who was thinking about working for Silverline, what advice would you give them?

It helps if you are familiar with Salesforce and if you know the basics of the platform. Getting any type of Salesforce certification will also give you an edge in interviews.
