What is your position at Silverline?

I’m in charge of our brand — the stories we tell, our industry POV to the outside world — and different kinds of internal and external communications. For me, that means content marketing via our blog and social media channels, as well as videos, physical collateral, etc. It also means overseeing our PR and awards. On the technical side, I care about SEO trends and try to infuse those best practices in everything we do.

What does your average day look like?

Checking in with my team on different types of content we’re producing, editing, wrangling information from industry leads, researching different awards, and other random acts of marketing.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?

I worked with Brett Brewer prior to Silverline and we kept in touch; we’re both artists! He told me how great Silverline was. When a position opened up, I started talking to Kathleen Ferrie and it moved quickly from there.

What motivates you at work?

Who we’re helping. I’m personally passionate about our work in Financial Services and Healthcare because those industries are foundational to our experience as people in the world. The idea that we can help those industries better serve the people they serve with technology is exciting.

What are some interesting challenges you face?

We move quickly at Silverline. Trying to keep up with industry trends while meeting deadlines and goals can be challenging. It’s hard to find enough hours in the day… but I live for a challenge.

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?

I’ve certainly learned more about Salesforce. Also, I’ve learned there is power in being a young woman leader if you have the courage to ask people for help and push people when they need pushing.

What do you think makes Silverline successful?

The fact that so many of our subject matter experts come from the industries they’re serving. People here aren’t just passionate about what they’re doing; in many cases they have years of experience from the client’s perspective. And we care about making Silverline look good as a brand, but more importantly, we all care about helping one another succeed as often as we can.

What is your favorite perk?

The freedom to work from home. Second to that, daily meditation — whether you’re in the office or at home.

What is your favorite memory from working at Silverline?

At our last company-wide Summit in Santa Fe, I particularly loved working with Gireesh, Rich, and Kathleen on new videos for our website. It was a great opportunity to work closely with our founders and hear what keeps them motivated at Silverline.

A Day in the Life: Jiordan Castle 2What do you hope for your future at Silverline?

I want us to have the best blog in the industry! I want to keep growing and I want my brand and communications team to feel like they always have the opportunity to learn.

What advice would you give someone considering a job at Silverline?

Be excited about hard work and keep asking questions. Everyone here is incredibly smart and it’s important to feel comfortable tapping into that smartness.
