On Thursday, March 28th, 2019, the NYC MuleSoft Meetup Group met to talk about APIs in Action at Silverline’s NYC Office. The second event for this group, the leaders are meeting their goal to host one Meetup per quarter. As members arrived for the event, the Silverline office was abuzz with networking and conversations surrounding all things APIs (and more!).
With over 30 attendees, the event featured various presentations and a robust Q&A session. Of course, no Meetup is complete without snacks and fun, so attendees enjoyed Italian food and beverages while Co-Leader Suyog Gandhi, Customer Success Director at MuleSoft, led a trivia game and handed out prizes.
Here’s what went down:
- First, Gean Martinez, Director of Data Technology & Strategy at Silverline, presented on the “CRM API” and talked about the different CRM domains, their relevant attributes and how one can design, build, test, and monitor APIs using MuleSoft. Attendees received a quick overview of the entire process, taken from end to end with a meaningful, real-life use case.
- Next, accomplished MuleSoft Solution Architect Amit Jha spoke about the Anypoint Visualizer, where he showed how you can monitor all of your APIs from one single view. This led to tons of questions Amit was happy to answer.
- Finally, Meetup members participated in a MuleSoft Panel Discussion with longtime MuleSoft Software Engineer, Victor Bonillo, NYC Meetup Co-Leader Gean Martinez, and Amit Jha, which was coordinated by NYC Meetup Co-Leader Suyog Gandhi. Questions spanned topics such as the Anypoint Fabric, IoT use cases, and it quickly became very technical!
The Meetup group gets together once per quarter and the organizers actively solicit feedback concerning topics and suggestions on content depth. If you are interested in getting involved with the MuleSoft user group or want to recommend topics for future meetings, reach out to the leaders Gean Martinez & Suyog Gandhi. (Contact info below.)
