Why Get Certified at Dreamforce

You may be thinking that Dreamforce already means a packed schedule and that there are so many sessions to see, people to meet, and events to go to… so how is there time to take a certification exam? Fortunately, Salesforce has made it easy to do so at the event itself by working it into the agenda in a way that works for busy Dreamforce attendees.

But first, hear from one of our own Silverliners how getting certified changed his career:

Kevin Hoxie: “Becoming Salesforce Admin Certified has opened so many doors for me. I have been fortunate enough to learn so much about the Salesforce Platform that I have been able to put into use in my new role as a Business Analyst. Receiving my certification credentials has been a badge of honor I wear proudly. Since starting as Silverline’s Office Manager a little over two years ago, I have had an interest in Salesforce, but I didn’t know much about it beyond the surface level. Through my studying for and passing the Admin Certification, my career has been able to align with the Salesforce ecosystem and I have had a whole world open to me.”

Is it more expensive?

No! In fact, getting certified at Dreamforce will save you 50% off regular certification exam prices.

What if I haven’t studied at all…

Although you should probably make sure to study or work on myTrailhead, Salesforce will be offering eight three-day bootcamps to give you everything you need to pass the exam. The bootcamp runs from Saturday, November 16th, through Monday, November 18th.

When do I take the exam?

Depending on the certification you’re looking for, there are many different sessions. They start on Monday, November 18th, and go through the end of the week. You simply register for the exam you would like to take and the 90-minute session will be added to your agenda. Below are the different exams being offered:

  • Administrator
  • Advanced Administrator
  • B2C Commerce Technical Solution Designer
  • B2C Commerce Developer
  • Community Cloud Consultant
  • CPQ Specialist
  • Data Architecture and Management Designer
  • Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer
  • Einstein Analytics & Discovery Consultant
  • Field Service Lightning Consultant
  • Identity and Access Management Designer
  • Integration Architecture Designer
  • Marketing Cloud Consultant
  • Marketing Cloud Developer
  • Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
  • Nonprofit Cloud Consultant
  • Pardot Consultant
  • Pardot Specialist
  • Platform App Builder
  • Platform Developer I
  • Platform Developer II
  • Sales Cloud Consultant

What happens if I fail?

The Salesforce exams can be difficult, especially depending on your level of preparation before the event. But don’t worry: if you don’t pass on the first try, you can take the exam again the next day.

Are there places to study at Dreamforce?

If you need some downtime before heading to the exam room then you can head to the Trailhead Academy at the Hilton Union Square. You can schedule study sessions, meet with Salesforce experts, watch videos about the platform, and so much more!

Getting certified at Dreamforce is an easy way to get more involved in the Salesforce ecosystem before you even board your flight home. What are you waiting for?
