Informatica Cloud: Leverage Your Data for Competitive Advantage

By apanchal 06.13.14

Last month I was fortunate to represent Silverline at Informatica World 2014. Today’s leading-edge companies are moving their business to the Cloud and Informatica’s solutions ensure that your data is always accessible. When it comes to data in the Cloud Silverline is considered an expert, having completed over 55 Informatica Cloud integrations to date.

As a self proclaimed “data geek,” I was excited to hear about the new ways Informatica is empowering companies to manage their data. Whether you’re already working in the Cloud and need access to timely, relevant, trustworthy data, or considering moving your business to a Cloud application, here’s how Informatica can help you:

Cloud Extend
Ensure best practices are followed within your organization. Informatica Cloud Extend enables Salesforce users to create and deploy custom wizards or guides that automate processes and methodologies. Easy to build, deploy, and use, the guides are created in the cloud and kicked-off by a user clicking a link or button.

Process Designer
Create, test and deploy Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) orchestrations in an Eclipse based visual environment. Whether you’re managing Cloud and/or on-premise services you’ll find the Process Designer a handy tool that can be installed as a stand-alone application or as a plugin in an Eclipse environment. Processes are deployed and administered from the Cloud and can be called in real-time or scheduled.

Cloud Mapping Designer
Today’s Cloud applications allow an administrator to add custom fields to an object making source data malleable. This means that the Data Integration model must evolve automatically with changing endpoints.
Informatica Cloud Mapping Designer allows integration developers to specify a set of dynamic rules that tell the mapping how fields need to be handled. Each transformation in the integration can specify the set of rules that determine what fields flow into that particular transformation. The entire source object can be parameterized, allowing the integration developer to focus on the core integration logic without having to worry about individual fields.
