It’s Not Just the Right Thing to Do, It’s the Smart Thing to Do

Earlier this year, Salesforce announced that they took action on paying equally for equal work. Equality is one of their core values and an important part of their culture. So of course, one of the big themes around Dreamforce 2018 was equality. There was even an entire day devoted to Equality & Culture within the workspace.

The Equality Summit was filled with equality Trailblazer gatherings, sessions led by top CEOs, and ended with the Equality Keynote. During the keynote, there were stories shared about why companies should have core values around Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Throughout the week, Silverliners participated in several events to help promote equality. On Monday, the day before Dreamforce kicked off, we sponsored WITday. The event was for the entire Trailblazer community to come together, share stories in sessions and panels, and ended with a networking happy hour. Later that evening, we joined our friends and partners at PepUp Tech for their annual Dreamforce Karaoke Fundraiser. Not only did we hear some incredible (and hilarious) singers, we also came together to raise money for a great cause!

On Wednesday, our CEO, Gireesh Sonnad, and our VP of Silverline Ventures, Jill Harrison, led a panel discussing what it takes to create a culture of equality. They talked about building an action plan for businesses and included our very own diversity and inclusion program, Silverline Allies.

Silverliners are proud to support equality in the workspace and work for a company where everyone can be their true authentic self. We are honored to be in the Salesforce Ohana! #EqualityForAll
