Turbocharge Your Dreamforce Experience: Attendee Tips & Best Practices

By Craig McKeon 08.28.18

Learn new skills, expand your network, educate peers, evolve your organization — whatever your reason for attending Dreamforce is — it’s time to get ready! Last year, there were over 171,000 attendees, 3,200 sessions, 600 workshops, and 2,400 customer speakers at Dreamforce! There is so much to do, see, learn, and thousands of people to meet all with a shared passion for Salesforce and business transformation. It’s important you be prepared and ready to hit the ground running on day one.

Tips for Preparing for Dreamforce 2018

Decide what you want to learn. Check out the Sessions page of Dreamforce.com to see all the sessions available to you. There’s a lot to cull through, so start by bookmarking the ones you’re interested in. You can filter by Categories, Roles, Products, Industries, Themes, and your Level. You should make sure to attend one of Silverline’s sessions as well; you can find those on our Dreamforce 2018 page. You can also get on-site training to become Salesforce-certified.

Build out an agenda. Plan ahead and build out where you’ll be and what you need to do to get there. Sort your sessions and plan when and where they are. You don’t want to miss the sessions or keynotes that are most important to you. Make sure you consider things like time to pick up your badge, how long it’ll take you to get to a different building, and time to arrive early to snag a great seat.

Prepare to network! Networking is so important, you could make a great business connection, or you could meet your next employer (by the way, we’re hiring passionate Salesforce experts). This means you should add to your schedule any industry lodge, networking event, or happy hour that interest you. Take some time to update your LinkedIn and make sure you have a generous supply of business cards handy.

What else should you do? Carve out some time to visit the Expo Hall in Moscone South and stop by Booth #900 to meet the Silverline team and learn more about how our Client Services team can work with your business.

If you need additional help getting started, check out a Trail Map by Salesforce to begin planning, take the Get Ready for Dreamforce Trailhead, and visit our Dreamforce 2018 page to see how to connect with Silverline. Planning ahead? If you want to meet a member of the Silverline team at Dreamforce and learn more about any of our services, contact us today.
