My internship with the Marketing team at Silverline has been both inspiring and valuable. Before I applied to Silverline I had never heard of Salesforce, but within a month of working for the company I knew I wanted to work here full time. Silverline’s culture is one of a kind, and is truly supportive.

While at Silverline I have continuously grown. From working with brilliant coworkers, whom have helped me improve my skills, to spending time on fun innovative projects, there was never a dull moment. I was able to assist with several projects including improving our social media presence, event planning, utilizing marketing strategies, learning valuable consulting skills, and more.

Although there were challenging moments, there were also many great experiences. Since I started at Silverline they have allowed me to work on projects that fit my interests. One example of this is a project I did with Wave Analytics to analyze the company’s Chatter data to gain insight on how employees engage with one another. Although this does not directly relate to marketing, this project combined my personal interests with work related needs.

I was also able to teach the children of Silverliners about marketing and internet safety on take your child to work day. For me this was an exciting opportunity to combine my previous experience working with children with the new skills I learned as Silverline’s marketing intern.

A third thing I deeply enjoyed was being able to improve my writing skills by creating blog posts. I was able to meet people in the company and write about their daily experiences, among other things. This allowed me to personally improve my skills, while also gaining valuable insight about Silverline and its employees.

Through the freedom I was given plus the amazing direction of Maggie and the marketing team, I constantly felt like I was an important member of the team. When Silverline began interviewing for the Silverline Academy, I knew that this was something I wanted to do. Although the interview process was long, it was worth it because starting July I will be a Business Analyst learning consulting techniques here at Silverline.

If you have an interest in sales, marketing, software consulting or something else and find a position that interests you I recommend you apply. Regardless of whether your background is in medicine, philosophy, business or something else, this company offers valuable experiences that meet a variety of needs. If you are driven and intelligent, and show a passion to continually grow, then I feel confident you could have as an amazing of an experience as I did.
