My Summer Sales Internship at Silverline

I had an amazing and life changing last few months because I was fortunate enough to have an internship with the Sales Team at Silverline. Normally, the first day at any new job is stressful, but my experience at Silverline was just the opposite. Upon walking in and spending a little time at this wonderful company I realized that this was not just a company, but a family.

Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The environment at the Silverline office is unparalleled. The kitchen was always stocked with a ton of food and drinks, and on the rare occasion that something you wanted wasn’t there, all you had to do is ask and it would be provided. And as if that was not enough, we had company lunches every Monday and Wednesday, along with a company breakfast on Fridays. Aside from food, there was a ping pong table, shuffleboard, and darts in the office. There were also couches and beanbags to provide comfort to workers during or after a day of work.

Even though I was an intern, I was treated like a valued employee from day one. The periodic happy hours, office parties, and a day at Mets game for interns offered friendly atmospheres. Quickly, my vision of the Silverline staff as a family rather than a traditional company was realized.

The management staff at Silverline has a wonderful attitude and is very knowledgeable. These attributes trickle down the ranks and make for a great learning environment. As a Sales Intern, I shadowed sales meetings and conference calls. I had the ability to experience every step of the sales process starting with a lead, all the way through to price negotation and the closing of a sale when the office gong is rung. Although interning at Silverline was challenging, I can definitely say that I would not have traded the experience for anything.
