Silverline and Dynamo Employees Raise Funds for Ukrainian Orphanage

By Craig McKeon 11.29.16

As part of the Silverline Cares initiative, we are enriching the lives of others by giving back. With a one-team philosophy in mind, we recently worked with our partners at Dynamo to support an orphanage in the Ukraine. We collected donations for the Lyubistok Orphanage in the Ukraine who are in need of additional school supplies.

The fundraiser was a huge success, Silverline and Dynamo collected over $1300!  With the funds raised, items were purchased by our partners at Dynamo and delivered directly to Lyubistok. The tremendous support made it possible to purchase not just school supplies, (as originally planned), but also other basic items that were very much needed: shoes, personal care products, first aid items, cosmetics, toys, etc. Lyubistok is home to 15 orphans ranging from 6-18 years of age who ended up there for various reasons. This orphanage was opened in 2002, and hosts only up to 30 children by design. The Dynamo office spent a Sunday playing and talking to children.

This initiative is especially near and dear to our hearts as our Partner Alliance Manager, Anjella Crowe, grew up in a Ukrainian orphanage. “I wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to all who donated, as you did not just share your funds with the children, but you’ve actually shared a piece of your warm hearts,” said Anjella, “I’m proud to work for a company that fosters a culture of caring.”
