Comparing CalendarAnything and Calendly for Salesforce scheduling
Venture Home has been a CalendarAnything customer since 2015, using it to visualize their Salesforce data in customizable calendar views that live natively on the Salesforce platform. Over time, Venture Home’s use of CalendarAnything moved from simple calendar visualization to advanced scheduling and routing workflows.
During a recent renewal cycle, Venture Home considered migrating to Calendly because they believed CalendarAnything did not offer the availability scheduling functionality they needed. While testing Calendly, they uncovered some issues with the Salesforce integration. Changes made in Calendly did not always reflect in Salesforce appointments, and reps in the field working from their phones did not like having to use Google Calendar to see appointments.
“There was a whole complicated process with Calendly if you wanted to switch an appointment to somebody else,” said Adam Luria, Director of Sales Operations at Venture Home. “Spending a minute or two making a change to an appointment, if you’re doing that 50 times a day, it adds up.”
Seeing the value of a Salesforce-native solution
Venture Home’s processes are wedded to Salesforce, so CalendarAnything’s native integration was a critical differentiator. After seeing a demonstration of CalendarAnything availability scheduling functionality, Venture Home had renewed interest in keeping their scheduling within Salesforce and expanding their capabilities with features they hadn’t seen before.
“With CalendarAnything, it’s a seamless process,” said Luria. “You’re not in another scheduling environment, you’re just in Salesforce. I don’t need to have a Calendly tab open, and I don’t need to look at Google Calendar nearly as often.”
Venture Home now uses CalendarAnything to allow customers to self-schedule their solar installation consultations, and a custom Salesforce-based routing solution automatically assigns the leads to the correct representative based on their geographic territory. CalendarAnything streamlines processes and saves time for sales agents handling high appointment volumes, and field representatives can now schedule their contracts more easily thanks to a cleaner calendar view.
“CalendarAnything feels like it just is Salesforce,” said Luria. “It feels like a part of Salesforce versus a product that you’re connecting.
