Reading Time: 5 minutes
Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing how financial institutions interact with customers and how employees deliver service. What began as an effort to improve employee productivity is evolving into a broader transformation of the customer experience, and this year’s Dreamforce was about shifting focus from AI not merely as an efficiency tool but as a mechanism for reimagining customer service and engagement.
Platforms like Agentforce Operations transform traditionally complex, multi-day processes into streamlined workflows that can execute in minutes while retaining necessary human oversight. AI is now embedded directly into Financial Services Cloud, introducing new capabilities that reduce time spent on administrative work so employees can focus on relationship building and financial guidance.
Keep reading to learn how these innovations help financial institutions deliver more intelligent, personalized, and efficient experiences for both customers and employees.
Agentforce Operations reimagines financial services experiences
Financial institutions operate across a fragmented landscape of core systems, servicing platforms, compliance applications, spreadsheets, emails, and manual workflows. Many critical processes rely on humans navigating disconnected systems, creating delays and preventing organizations from fully leveraging AI-driven insights.
Agentforce Operations addresses these challenges by operating as a “super agent” that can digitize, orchestrate, and automate end-to-end operational processes. Rather than requiring extensive custom coding or large transformation projects, the platform allows organizations to describe a business process and rapidly convert it into an executable workflow. Agentforce Operations then coordinates specialized AI agents and human participants, ensuring that work moves efficiently while maintaining governance, auditability, and compliance controls.
It enables businesses to:
- Accelerate customer and policyholder processes: Organizations can automate complex, multi-step workflows that often rely on emails, spreadsheets, and manual handoffs. For banks, this can apply to account opening, loan processing, KYC reviews, and payment exception handling. For insurers, it can streamline underwriting, policy servicing, claims processing, and broker onboarding.
- Empower business teams without heavy IT dependency: Business and process owners can target Agentforce Operations at an existing process or describe a new process to rapidly create AI-powered workflows and modify automations/routing logic through natural-language interactions, enabling faster innovation while maintaining governance oversight from IT.
- Continuously optimize operations: Through the Apromore process optimization capability, organizations can discover how processes actually run, identify bottlenecks, measure KPI performance, and receive recommendations for improvement. This creates a continuous improvement cycle across operations, claims, underwriting, lending, servicing, and finance functions.
MuleSoft and Data 360 unlock data and enhance visibility
Your AI initiative succeeds or fails based on your data foundation, and financial institutions need an integrated data layer that supports governance and trust. MuleSoft connects systems and governs AI interactions across the enterprise, enabling organizations to integrate applications, APIs, and business processes. Data 360 unifies and activates all of that customer data inside Salesforce so employees and AI agents have the context they need to make decisions and personalize experiences.
Rather than forcing organizations to rebuild integrations, MuleSoft enables them to reuse existing APIs and expose them in AI-friendly formats. This allows AI agents to interact with core business systems, customer records, operational workflows, and data sources while leveraging investments that have already been made in integration infrastructure.
MuleSoft Agent Fabric is Salesforce’s AI control plane, providing visibility into AI agents running across Salesforce, cloud providers, internal systems, and third-party platforms. Key features include:
- Agent registry: Scanners watch supported platforms and automatically register any agents, APIs, and MCP servers they discover, so you can reuse what exists instead of rebuilding assets.
- Enable agents to take action: Make the APIs, applications, and agents you already run available as tools, so agents can update records and hand work to other agents without rebuilding the agents.
- AI security and governance: Put the same authentication, access, and security rules on every agent, MCP server, and LLM call, so production traffic is routed by your rules.
Agent Fabric provides centralized control, policy enforcement, auditability, and the ability to quickly intervene if an agent behaves unexpectedly. It also addresses a growing concern among executives: AI costs. Capabilities for monitoring token usage, allocating costs across teams, setting usage limits, and optimizing model consumption help organizations gain visibility into AI spending and ensure that costs remain predictable as AI adoption scales.
New pre-built Financial Services Cloud AI capabilities, including Meeting Concierge
Financial Services Cloud is evolving from an industry CRM into a platform that combines trusted customer data, AI agents, workflows, and financial services-specific intelligence. FSC now works alongside Agentforce capabilities to streamline onboarding, servicing, and other complex financial services workflows.
Historically, CRM systems required users to access information through a dedicated application interface. Salesforce’s vision is different. FSC now supports a headless architecture, allowing customer and workflow information to be accessed through channels such as AI assistants, mobile experiences, Microsoft Teams, and other digital touchpoints. This enables institutions to deliver services wherever customers and employees choose to work.
FSC is designed to improve employee productivity, and Meeting Concierge is a new pre-built advisor experience that helps financial professionals prepare for, manage, and follow up on client meetings using Agentforce. It is part of Salesforce’s broader Agentic Advisor experience focused on increasing banking and wealth advisor productivity while improving client engagement.
Meeting Concierge supports the entire client meeting lifecycle through three phases:
- Before the meeting: Before a client interaction, Meeting Concierge helps advisors arrive prepared by providing relevant client context and relationship information. The solution surfaces customer details, recent activity, referrals, and other information needed to conduct a more informed and personalized conversation.
- During the meeting: Meeting Concierge remains active throughout the meeting, capturing information as the conversation occurs. It can create transcripts and accept uploaded photos of handwritten notes to extract follow-up actions and commitments automatically, enabling advisors to focus on the client relationship instead of administrative note-taking.
- After the meeting: Following the conversation, Agentforce automates many of the administrative tasks that traditionally consume advisor time. It can manage action items, schedules future meetings, and record life events that may create future opportunities (such as a new child, retirement, or other major financial milestones) within Financial Services Cloud timelines.
Beyond individual meetings, Meeting Concierge can also analyze trends across numerous client conversations. Advisors can ask Agentforce to review recent meetings and identify common themes, client concerns, and emerging opportunities across their portfolio, helping them scale insights beyond one-on-one interactions.
