New Features

Custom UI Support for Self-Scheduling

We have introduced a new feature that allows users to apply a custom UI on top of the CalendarAnything scheduling engine. The application’s API has been enhanced to enable a custom interface, with the core engine running in background mode while using a custom UI. This enhancement provides greater flexibility in designing self-scheduling interfaces while leveraging the robust scheduling functionality of CalendarAnything.

Key Updates:

  • Custom UI Integration: With custom development, clients can now overlay their own interface with CalendarAnything Self-Scheduling functionality while the core scheduling engine runs in Background Mode.
  • Seamless Functionality: Ensures full compatibility with CalendarAnything’s scheduling features while offering a tailored user experience.
  • Enhanced User Experience: Organizations can provide a branded, intuitive self-scheduling interface to match their unique workflows.

Benefits:

  • Increased Customization: Adapt the scheduling interface to match specific business needs.
  • Improved User Engagement: Provide a more intuitive and visually appealing self-scheduling experience.
  • Retained Core Functionality: Maintain the powerful scheduling capabilities of CalendarAnything while applying a unique front-end design.

Use Cases:

  • A Financial Advisory company wants to embed self-scheduling within their branded portal.
  • A Healthcare Provider needs a custom patient appointment scheduling interface.
  • An event organizer wants to provide a streamlined booking experience with a personalized UI.

This update empowers users to create fully customized self-scheduling experiences while leveraging CalendarAnything’s scheduling engine.

Improvements

Email Notifications on Resize, Move, and Delete

This enhancement introduces configurable email notifications when an event is resized, moved (only if the start or end date changes), or deleted. Users now have more control over when and how notifications are sent, with options to customize recipients and email templates.

Important! This update does not support calendars configured to use Flow for create, edit, or delete actions. Email notifications will not be sent for these calendars.

Key Updates:

  • Configurable Email Settings:
    • Off: No email notifications will be sent.
    • Default: Uses the system’s default recipients and email template settings.
    • Custom: Allows users to specify custom recipients and email templates.

Benefits

  • This enhancement gives users greater control over email notifications for scheduling updates.

ICS Export for Availability and Group Calendars

We’ve introduced the ability to download ICS files for Availability and Group Calendars, making it easier to share and integrate calendar events with external applications.

Key Updates:

  • ICS Export in Calendar Menu: Users can now export calendar events to ICS format directly from the Calendar menu.
  • Support for Availability & Group Calendars: ICS export is available for both Availability and Group Calendars.

Benefits:

  • Seamless Integration: Easily import exported ICS files into external calendar applications (e.g., Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar).
  • Improved Scheduling: Share availability and group calendar events with external teams or clients.
