Since its beginning in Reno, Nevada, more than 80 years ago, Caesars Entertainment has grown through the development of new resorts, expansions, and acquisitions, and now operates on four continents. Caesars Entertainment, Inc. and Eldorado Resorts, Inc. came together in 2020 to create the largest gaming company in the U.S. – Caesars Entertainment.
Each company brings a rich, storied history that positions Caesars Entertainment to be the global leader in the gaming industry, with diversified amenities, impeccable service, and one-of-a-kind destinations. Their offerings include the finest restaurants, the biggest entertainment, elite meeting and conventions facilities, and unparalleled shopping.
A scheduling solution that is easy to customize and manage
Caesars Entertainment has a heavily customized Salesforce use case that helps casino hosts and casino sales executives sell properties and offerings within their industry and company. As the industry-leading casino entertainment provider, Caesars’ main challenge is that they have many events going on across our whole enterprise, and hosts need to see what’s going on dynamically at a property level.
Salesforce presented some challenges for Caesars to do this right away out of the box, so they sought to find a third-party application that could do it for them. Caesars Entertainment discovered CalendarAnything at Dreamforce and has been using it for 13 years.
“It’s easy to customize. It’s easy to manage,” said Sean Burney, Director of VIP Marketing Strategy & Innovation for Caesars Entertainment. “We don’t have to build in our own releases. CalendarAnything and Mphasis Silverline let us know when there’s a new update, and all we do is upgrade our package version and we take advantage of new features.”
CalendarAnything scales as Caesars Entertainment grows
Caesars Entertainment is always growing. As they gain more properties, they have more events, which means more calendars have to be set up. Regional marketing leaders use the calendar to help support the property marketing teams by showing them what’s going on across the enterprise.
A top priority for Caesars Entertainment is keeping their calendars secure and not allowing things to break when employees try to configure their own calendars. They wanted to lock down different areas of the calendar so that only administrators can configure it, and the customization capabilities of CalendarAnything make this possible.
Caesars Entertainment is most proud of how CalendarAnything has been adopted by salespeople, and the feedback they receive allows them to continue customizing calendars to meet evolving needs. CalendarAnything streamlines this process in a way that wouldn’t have been possible if Caesars Entertainment built their own scheduling solution.
“You can do some work in-house, or you can outsource some work and make it easier for you to take advantage of the customizations that a third-party application can do for you,” said Burney. “You don’t have to worry about making different changes on your end when you can just leverage the releases that the calendar provides.”
Caesars Entertainment has recently updated to the Lightning Web Component version of CalendarAnything, and is excited to start incorporating more use cases in the future.
