Celebrate each other

Celebrate … it’s a unique word in the context of values and can take on many, many forms. It means we recognize, encourage, and reward. You can celebrate success as well as failure.  We are a team that supports and empowers each other to try out new ideas, and recognize one another for those efforts. We celebrate individuals, diversity, and perspectives from all experiences and walks of life.

Do the right thing, even when it’s hard

At Silverline, we don’t shy away from difficult situations. It can mean offering an alternative opinion to a customer or having a critical conversation with a teammate.  It also means looking at a decision that we know may be uncomfortable but is the best path as an individual, team, and organization. It can even be as important as doing the right thing for society through volunteerism and giving back to the community. It is easy to do the right thing when the path is clear and straightforward, but we think that doing the right thing no matter what is part of being a Silverliner.

Operate on trust and transparency

The strongest foundation for each of us to live our values every day is to do so from a place of trust, and trust is made possible with transparency. Silverliners try to be as open and honest as possible with our customers and each other. We consistently strive to learn how to better communicate so that we can further engender the trust that is so important to our relationships.

Have the courage to challenge

Silverliners challenge themselves and our customers to think differently. It can be difficult to challenge norms, ideals, and beliefs that are common or pervasive. Silverliners have the strength to confront what is in front of them and stand up for what they think is important. It can be as tactical as challenging a belief on the best way to implement a solution, as impactful as how we treat one another, or as important as making sure that we can bring insight and feedback to our entire team.

Are always learning

The ecosystem we live in is a rapidly moving environment for technology and business. We have a lot to learn. In many interviews, we say that if you can teach and learn in equal parts, you’re probably a great fit here. There are always new things coming up. Whether it’s developments in the Salesforce platform, or diving deeper into a customer’s vision to better advise. We’ve had a focus on learning and developing ourselves and our teams from the beginning.

Try to have fun

We could argue that we always have a lot of fun, but we realize this there is a lot of hard work that comes with our business as well. This is the only place we use the word ‘try’ in our values – the goal in writing it this way is to make sure that even when it might not be fun, we are trying to enjoy what we do and who we do it with. There’s endless fun in consulting, which is why we all do what we do. It is exciting to solve problems. It’s fun to be with a great team of people. There might be other fun things you’d want to be doing, but in order to have fun overall, sometimes it takes work.

Are better together

When Silverliners are living these values, we will be a closer, tighter team that is driven to contribute to our overall success, both individually and as an organization.
