For the last three months, I was lucky enough to spend my time interning in the Marketing department of Silverline. Since my first interview for the position, I knew that Silverline would be a company I would enjoy working for. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, nonthreatening and easy to converse with. This held true on my first day when Silverline had a Welcome Breakfast for the new hires. Employees of all levels went out of their way to introduce themselves and get to know everyone new to the company, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I could immediately tell that the employees genuinely enjoyed working for Silverline. But, who wouldn’t? The kitchen is always stocked with every snack and drink that you can imagine, there is a Ping-Pong table, and even beanbag chairs if people want to relax and do their work.
During my internship at Silverline, I was shown a variety of different aspects of the business world. My main focus was on helping plan Dreamforce, Salesforce’s huge annual conference that takes place in San Francisco. Through this, I learned how to communicate with vendors, negotiate prices and look at the finer details.
Over my summer at Silverline, I gained exposure to the different facets of the marketing industry while working in the most comfortable environment I have ever experienced. Outside of work, I attended a Mets game, office happy hours and the party for the opening of the new office (which is awesome!). I can say with certainty that Silverline has provided me with a great internship experience.
