Boston Partners in Education honored several special guests including Keith Block, Vice Chairman, President and COO of Salesforce at the 12th Annual Big Cheese Reads Gala on April 11, 2016. The evening’s event brought together over 400 partners and raised over $652,000 for the program benefiting Boston’s public schools and 5% of the school system’s students.
The Big Cheese Reads introduces business, community, and cultural leaders (“Big Cheeses”) to middle school students in the Boston Public Schools through a one-time classroom visit. During this visit, “Big Cheeses” read to the students and share experiences that emphasize the vital role literacy plays in future achievement, particularly career success. Silverline is happy to support Boston Partners in Education, an organization that provides in-school volunteers to bring focused, individualized support for Boston’s public school students.
The evening kicked off with a welcome presentation by Bonnie St. John, Olympic Medalist & Author, Joseph C. Antonellis, Chairman of Boston Partners in Education, and Pamela Civins, Executive Director of Boston Partners in Education. The event also celebrated the James P.
