For the past 3 years Silverliners and their families gather from all over for a weekend to bond and embrace the outdoors at the annual Silverline Camping Trip. This year, we held our trip at Stokes State Forest, in New Jersey. Despite having to postpone the trip due to Hurricane Joaquin, everyone who attended thought the trip was a success. The event was an opportunity to take a break from our hectic lives and enjoy all the joys of camping. From hikes to viewing the beautiful fall foliage to roasting marshmallows by the campfire, this weekend was full of activities that everyone enjoyed.
Here is what a few individuals who attended had to say about the trip:
Scott Snider stated that, “The Color Wars Olympics was a phenomenal addition to the camping trip. The teams competed in activities like Kam Jam, Corn Hole, and an entertaining game of whistling after consuming fortune cookies.”
Lenny Flecha described how, “It was really nice to get away from the city and be out in nature for a couple of days. There was also some great team bonding around the campfire and in the color wars.”
Julia Squiers believed, “The best part about the camping trip was getting out of the city and being able to see the a plethora of stars at night.”
Kori Deitz said, “This was my first camping trip and I am very happy that it was with Silverline!”
Charlotte Harper mentioned how, “The Camping Trip was so much fun and displayed amazing team work. From the planning, to the logistics, setting up camp and then spending the weekend in the ‘wild,’ hanging out with everyone. Highlights were stories around the campfire, hiking in the woods, and the Silverline Olympics (GO TEAM WET KNEES!). Can’t wait for next year’s trip!”
Kai Yu Hsiung said, “Chicken hearts, Chinese food, and having my daughter spill a cup of warm pee in my tent. It’s gonna be hard to top that next year.”
