Silverline recently hosted the New York City Salesforce User Group on Wednesday, July 24th. The mission of the New York City Salesforce User Group is to build an enthusiastic community committed to learning about the Salesforce Platform and achieving successful adoption. Wednesday’s session was about the Salesforce mobile app and featured Victor Oliveros, Eugene Oksman, and Alex Yi from the Salesforce Mobile Product Management Team. Our very own Kevin Hoxie, recently promoted to Business Analyst, spoke in front of the user group about his journey at Silverline and his growth with the Salesforce Platform.
What’s your favorite thing about the user groups?
User groups are a great way to network with other people in the Salesforce ecosystem. I get really excited to meet new people each month, and learn more about how they are involved with Salesforce.
What did you learn?
Each user group is different, which is an awesome way to learn more about Salesforce and some of the programs. Last night we learned about the Salesforce mobile app, and I learned more about the app builder function, which is an area I want to get more into.
Any other notes you want to add?
I think having user groups is great! This is an easy way for people to network. We actually hired Umair Ilyas, a Senior Business Analyst at Silverline and Salesforce MVP, through networking; he runs the NYC User Group. It’s also a good way for people to jump into the Salesforce ecosystem if they are not there already or don’t know how.
How was speaking at the event?
A lot of fun! One of my life goals is to enjoy public speaking and last night was a chance for me to work on that. I really enjoyed talking about my adventure from Office Manager to Business Analyst.
