This week, the MuleSoft Meetup Group hosted their Holiday Kickoff and first event at Silverline’s NYC Office. The user group faced the familiar holiday tradition of setting new year’s resolutions and intentions for 2019. The lofty goals included hosting one event per quarter, encouraged knowledge sharing and increasing membership throughout the year.
With over 30 attendees, the majority of the room was new to the MuleSoft meetup group yet most have had involvement with other Salesforce community events in New York City. The event had an action packed agenda:
- First, the meetup group’s leader, Gean Martinez, Director of Data Technology and Strategy at Silverline, shared his tips with attendees on how to power up their careers and pursue certification. The new group provides an exciting time for its members to power up with MuleSoft and exchange tips and tricks while achieving their certifications.
- Then members heard from MuleSoft customer Sitetracker via a presentation from Integration Architect Edgar Moran, in which he discussed how Sitetrackeruses the Anypoint Platform to backup data at an interval and allows for financial system integrations. Similar to other customers, they had adopted MuleSoft for an immediate need but have found additional utility to support other solutions rather than using another tool.
- Throughout the meeting, attendees enjoyed pizza and beverages while Co-Leader Suyog Gandhi, Customer Success Director at MuleSoft, led a fun trivia game with attendees and handed out cool prizes.
