Silverline is gearing up for another exciting week in Louisiana at the New Orleans Entrepreneur Week. This will be our seventh consecutive year sending a volunteer team of consultants and technology experts. Last year, the conference hosted over 13,000+ entrepreneurs and 185 organizations. NOEW is a nationally-recognized festival of entrepreneurship that celebrates and supports the network of talent that has enabled New Orleans to become a hub of innovation. It creates a platform for entrepreneurs to meet and consult with national venture capital firms and strategic advisory partners.
Last year, we teamed up with Salesforce and donated more than 400 volunteer hours during the event and in follow-up engagements. Our impact included helping accelerate 15 organizations – both non-profits & start-ups. We held our 5th annual Salesforce-Silverline Challenge with 5 competing organizations and Silverline donated a $15,000 package of licenses & consulting hours. Want to read more about the experience? Check out this awesome post over on the Salesforce Foundation blog!
This year, we’re excited to shake things up a bit. We’ll be doing a weekend growth hackathon in sponsorship of 6 local organizations all day on Saturday and Sunday at the Launch Pad in the Lower Garden District. We’ll be helping out our Vetlaunch hosts with their Salesforce needs as they help veterans find high-tech jobs and launch new companies – in addition to five other organizations we will profile here on the blog after the event! Plus, we’re super excited to check out Monday’s keynote with Salesforce’s Chief Philanthropic Officer Suzanne DiBianca. Be sure to RSVP if you’re in the area and want to join us!
We are proud to be involved with NOEW again and donate time and services through our Silverline Cares initiative with our dedication to Pledge 1%. Pledge 1% is a corporate philanthropy movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business. Pledge 1% encourages and challenges individuals and companies to pledge 1% of equity, product, and employee time for their communities. Take the pledge today.
New Orleans Entrepreneur Week is coming up March 19-24 and we hope to see you there. Register today to join us!
