Job Title: Sr. Engagement Manager
Start Date:
 March 2018

What is a fun fact or something interesting about yourself?

I’ve been a Krav Maga practitioner for over four years!

What is your position at Silverline?

I’m a Senior Engagement Manager at Silverline. The cornerstone of my role is relating to people, whether they’re a client or a part of my project team. When you can understand the person, you have a much better understanding of their motivations, their pain points, and ultimately their technology/project goals.

What does your average day look like?

I’m an early riser (by choice), so I usually start my day before 7:00 a.m. from my home office. After spending some time catching up on email, I host my project stand-up meeting and get started on the rest of my calls and priorities for the day. I’m also active on Slack, a message board, communicating with my team, my peers, and my clients.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?

I was contacted by a Silverline recruiter via LinkedIn. So thankful!

What motivates you at work?

The people I work with. Knowing that I work with so many people that I respect and admire is all the motivation I need to bring my A-game!

What are some interesting challenges you face?

Challenging personalities, and learning how to adjust my own communication style to better work with the people around me. This can get interesting when there are competing priorities among those personalities, especially within the same client or project team.

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?

I’ve learned so much! One of my favorites has been learning about the PI Assessment and the 17 different personality types within that system. I’ve been able to learn so much about myself, but also about my team and how to better communicate.

What do you think makes Silverline successful?

At every level of leadership within Silverline, there is an understanding that it is the people at Silverline that make things tick. By focusing on the people, and providing them with the right tools, knowledge, and support — Silverline sets them up for success, ultimately making Silverline successful.

What is your favorite perk?

It’s pretty hard to beat unlimited PTO… 🙂

What is your favorite memory from working at Silverline?

My favorite memory is when I was asked by my manager to be on camera during an all-hands meeting in late 2018 but didn’t tell me why. He also asked if I would wear my shark costume (which was epic on Halloween!) — and my response was “abso-freaking-lutely!”  I wound up winning a Silverline Values award that day!

What do you hope for your future at Silverline?

That I will get to know and love more and more people that I work with! It seems like almost every week I have a reason to say, “I’ve found my people!”

What advice would you give someone considering a job at Silverline?

Do it! You’ll thank yourself later!
