Job Title: Art Director/ Senior Graphic Artist
Start Date: I became full time on July 16th 2018, but have been working as a consultant since 2013.
Fun Fact: I’m working on creating a board game in my free time!
What does your average day look like?
Usually I wake up super early and play the Marvel quest game! Just kidding, but not really. The first part of the day is meetings. Since I work from Hawaii, the time difference is challenging sometimes, but I get a lot of work done when everyone is leaving to go home. Then, I send lots of emails and go to yoga at night.
How did you find out about Silverline and your current position?
I was pulled in by someone I worked with at a previous company and then I started doing projects with Silverline. The relationship kept growing and I became a regular person they would go to. This year I became full time because the workload kept on increasing so it made sense for this transition.
What motivates you at work?
Making sure everything is nice, clean, and in order.
What do you like most about your work?
I really love the culture and working with everyone. It’s a company of nerds! Everyone here pushes and challenges you!
What are some challenges you face?
I face the challenge of having to let something go when I feel like there is more to be done. I want to make EVERYTHING pretty!
What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline?
Definitely a lot of acronyms! Also I have figured out what I’m really good at and really bad at.
What do you think makes Silverline a successful company?
I think the culture, even though we are customer centric the core is the employees.
What is your favorite perk?
I love coming to NYC and seeing everyone!
What is your favorite memory?
I came to the office for the first time as a full time employee and felt like I was a part of something greater than myself and my career.
What do you hope for your future at Silverline?
I hope to continue to be a designer and be brought into more exciting projects. I want to be challenged and get to know more people at the company.
If you had a friend who was thinking about working for Silverline, what advice would you give them?
I would advise them to really take a look at how they work and what they need to be successful at work and make sure Silverline lines up with that! You also have to be self motivated to work remotely like I do.
