Job Title: Senior Salesforce Consultant and Analyst Team Lead, Media and Entertainment
Start Date: October 2015 (right after Thanksgiving!)

Tell us a fun fact or something interesting about yourself: I’m a huge live music fan. The best part of living in Toronto (aside from the food!) is all the small venues hosting live shows — there’s always a good concert going on somewhere in the city!

What is your position at Silverline? Half Salesforce consultant delivering Salesforce implementations for Media clients, half analyst team lead helping to create more future Salesforce consultants.

What does your average day look like? There really is no such thing as an average day! There’s definitely some commonality but each day tends to have its own unique mix.

Every day starts with a quick calendar/email/Slack check and a check-in with the other Media leads to start planning the day.

For my projects, we might have a backlog grooming call with the client to make sure we’re focusing on their most important goals, or a sprint demo to show off what the team has built and gather feedback on how to make it even better.

For the team, I try to help newer members ramp up on the media industry or share some technical pointers about setting up our accelerators.

How did you find out about Silverline and your current position? I found out about Silverline — Shift CRM at the time — through a good friend of mine who was working there (hi, Dave!). I interviewed for an Analyst position without any Salesforce experience aside from Trailhead and I’ve been growing here ever since.

What motivates you at work? Working as a team to solve interesting and challenging problems — technical and business. I get to be an instrumental part of our client’s business transformations and see the impact on their users.

I also love training, whether its clients or colleagues — those a-ha moments are the best!

What are some interesting challenges you face? For the last couple years, definitely finding ways to enjoy live music while everything was shut down.

What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline? How powerful and flexible a CRM can be, how impactful it can be for a business moving off of spreadsheets, and how much work it takes from a whole lot of people to get there.

What do you think makes Silverline successful? Definitely the people. Everyone supports each other and is always willing to lend a hand.

What is your favorite perk? PTO! I love taking time off in August to relax and recharge.

What is your favorite memory from working at Silverline? Every Team Week when we get to see everyone from out of town and hang out all week.

What do you hope for your future at Silverline? I hope we keep putting people first and remembering to have fun.

What advice would you give someone considering a job at Silverline? Be yourself!
