What is your position at Silverline? Solutions Architect in the Financial Services space.
What does your average day look like? My typical day starts with a morning walk with my dog Brie (like the cheese). I then head to my home office, where I’m surrounded by art and plants, and check my calendar for any upcoming meetings and go through any morning emails. Most of my days are split between standup calls or collaborating with teammates on projects I am working on. When I have some downtime, I love jumping on Trailhead or the Partner Learning camp for some learning!
How did you find out about Silverline and your current position? I first heard of Silverline several years ago when a colleague/friend, Zach Baker, made the switch to Silverline. I soon started following the company on Linkedin and really liked what I saw. Years later, another friend, Melissa Dunn, made the switch, so I reached out to Zach and he had nothing but amazing things to say about the people and organization. I really wanted to be a part of a team that really values their people and customers. Silverline has great core values and truly lives by them!
What motivates you at work? So many things motivate me; but two that stand out are:
- I have always had a passion for technology and computers. I like solving complex puzzles and designing solutions that will make life a little easier and motivate me.
- Learning from my teammates. I am surrounded by some of the smartest, most innovative people at Silverline. Absorbing all the knowledge and support they have to offer is priceless.
What are some interesting challenges you face? I am fairly new at Silverline so I am still finding my way. There is so much to learn and so many people to shadow. Sometimes I need to step back and smell the roses!
What new things have you learned since you began working at Silverline? Aside from all the amazing things that Salesforce can do, I have learned that we can deliver an amazing product, take care of our clients, and still be profitable.
What do you think makes Silverline and its diversity programs successful? The people. We have a great culture and our leaders really support and encourage us.
What is your favorite perk? There are so many perks at Silverline! Remote work is definitely one of those. Also summer Fridays have been incredible. Silverline promotes work-life balance and they take it seriously!
What is your favorite memory from working at Silverline? My first month at Silverline, we started a Fresh Air and Self Care Challenge. We logged all outdoor activity into our internal org and got to virtually connect with team members across the world and create relationships.
What do you hope for your future and the future of the Latin community at Silverline? I hope that Silverline will continue to innovate and find ways to bring people together from all over the world!
What advice would you give someone considering a job at Silverline (Latin or otherwise)? Be ready to live by our core values. Be yourself and don’t hold back! The people and support here are amazing and the sky’s the limit.
